Email

Note

Note: IC email services, other than forwarding, will stop in June, 2023

Other email options:

  • Google Workspace (great for teams)
    • Great, professional solution for teams. You can add/remove email addresses.  Sending and receiving emails use your domain.  Cost is $6/user/month. Contact IC for help moving to Workspace.
  • Free email + Forwarding
    • Good solution for small teams on a budget. We set up forwarding so that though you are using a free service to send/receive messages, people can email you using your domain name.  info@yourdomain.com -> you@gmail.com. Cost is $0.
    • GMail, Yahoo, Proton, etc. offer free emails and IC can help set up the forwarding for your name.
  • Your internet service provider
    • Whomever you get your internet connection from may offer email services.  Check with them on costs. (ex. Consolidated, Charter/Spectrum)
  • Your own email server
    • Great for larger teams.  Working with your IT team, set up a Microsoft email server. Sending and receiving emails use your domain. Contact Mankato Computer Technology or CTS or your IT company for a quote on server setup and maintenance.

Standard email boxes

Until June, 2023, to access your IC email via the web, enter your username and password on this page and you will be taken to our webmail system where you can read, send and receive e-mails.

To access your email via a standard email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc), scroll down for email settings.

Email Forwarding

Email forwarding is when an email address goes to one internet company and is routed to another where the email is stored for you to get it.

It’s like a standard letter going to one address and being forwarded to another where it goes into a postal box waiting for you to get it.  But email can be forwarded to more than one address, so this can be a handy option for addresses like sales@company.com. sales@company.com can be forwarded to maryt@myclearwave.net and joem@gmail.com.
